InHarmonyME founder Robin Chibroski has nearly two decades of experience as an educator and administrator, and 19 years in the non-profit sector as VP of Development at Youth Alternatives and, since 2000, as Executive Director, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Maine. Robin’s lifelong love of horses led her, at age 49, to purchase a paint gelding named Cadence. Their first training experience together was, unfortunately, self-defeating due to the horse trainer’s archaic methods. Hoping to find a way to repair her shattered confidence, and her horse’s, Robin arrived at Sable Oak Equestrian Center in Brunswick in 2002, beginning an exciting journey with trainer Sherrye Johnson Trafton.
During this time, Robin was introduced to and began to study natural horsemanship with a focus on Parelli, a comprehensive program that focuses on putting the relationship with the horse first and seeking the never-ending path to learning. In 2005, Robin purchased a three-year-old Friesian gelding. Having two horses, each with their own diverse horsenality™ made it even more apparent to Robin that learning the language of the horse is vital to establishing a successful relationship.
