My first two horses deeply shaped my understanding of clear communication, connection, and leadership—one requiring a calm, steady approach and the other teaching the importance of respect and patience. Together, they reinforced the value of understanding from a horse’s point of view. These experiences led to an in-depth study of Natural Partnership, which became the foundation of In Harmony Me, LLC, established in 2008.

Guided by more than 18 years of experience as an educator and program director, along with more than 28 years in senior nonprofit leadership—including roles as Vice President of Development and Marketing and Executive Director of a statewide organization—I discovered strong parallels between effective leadership, communication, confidence, and authentic partnership with both people and horses.
